LS Electric Wins $138.7 Million US Data Center Power Equipment Order

The Korean electrical equipment maker will supply high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers to a Bloom Energy project serving a major technology company’s data center in Pennsylvania.

LS Electric has secured a 185.3 billion won ($138.7 million) contract from Bloom Energy to supply electrical equipment for a data center power project in the United States, adding to a rapidly growing commercial relationship between the two companies.

The Korean electrical equipment maker said the order covers 38-kilovolt high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers. The equipment is destined for a fuel cell-based on-site power generation project serving the Pennsylvania data center of a major U.S. technology company. LS Electric plans to make deliveries between April and July 2027.

The latest agreement lifts LS Electric’s cumulative orders from Bloom Energy above $500 million since April 2025. That total indicates that the relationship has developed into a substantial source of overseas business in less than two years, rather than remaining limited to a single project.

Switchgear controls, protects and isolates electrical equipment, while distribution transformers adjust voltage so electricity can be delivered safely within a facility. Both are critical components for data centers, where stable power supply and the ability to manage electrical faults are essential to keeping computing systems operating. The inclusion of 38-kilovolt equipment shows that LS Electric will supply infrastructure on the high-voltage side of the project.

The contract also places the Korean manufacturer within the expanding supply chain for data center power systems. Large technology facilities require significant electricity capacity, and on-site generation can provide power close to where it is consumed. In this case, Bloom Energy is the global power solutions provider leading the fuel cell-based project, while LS Electric will contribute the equipment needed to distribute and manage that power.

For LS Electric, the deal combines three important business themes: growth in North America, rising investment in data center infrastructure and repeated orders from an established customer. The scheduled 2027 delivery window gives the company a defined production and supply commitment extending into next year.

The identity of the technology company operating the Pennsylvania data center was not disclosed. LS Electric also did not provide further details about the site’s generating capacity or the number of switchgear and transformer units covered by the order. The disclosed contract value, equipment specifications and delivery period nevertheless establish the scale and timing of the project.
