Lotte Steps Up Vietnam Hiring With Recruitment Drive at Five Hanoi Universities

Lotte Group drew more than 3,000 students to recruitment events at five Hanoi universities as the Korean conglomerate plans to hire about 500 people in Vietnam this year, roughly 20 percent more than last year.

South Korea’s Lotte Group has expanded its search for local talent in Vietnam, holding recruitment events at five leading universities in Hanoi as its businesses increase hiring across the country.

More than 3,000 job seekers attended the 2026 Lotte Global Campus Recruiting in Vietnam program, which ran from October 21 through October 23, according to the company. Recruiters visited Vietnam National University in Hanoi, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, FPT University, National Economics University and Foreign Trade University.

Six Lotte affiliates took part: Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel, Lotte World, Lotte Innovate, Lotte Property & Development and advertising agency Daehong Communications. The program combined booths offering job consultations and one-on-one mock interviews with presentations introducing the group and its participating businesses.

Students were able to ask Lotte employees about recruitment procedures, career preparation and the work performed by individual units. One FPT University marketing student said a positive experience at the Lotte World Aquarium in Hanoi had sparked an interest in working for the company. She joined a mock interview to seek more detailed information about corporate strategy and employment opportunities connected with the attraction.

A human resources employee at Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi said many participants had already developed clear ideas about their preferred careers and roles. The company said direct campus outreach is intended to explain both Lotte’s business strengths and the range of professional growth opportunities available to local applicants.

The campaign comes as Lotte broadens its local workforce alongside its operations in Vietnam and Indonesia. More than 10,000 local employees currently work for Lotte in Vietnam. The group plans to recruit about 500 people there this year, an increase of approximately 20 percent from last year.

The Hanoi campus program follows Lotte’s first integrated overseas affiliate recruitment fair, which the group held in the Vietnamese capital in August last year. That event brought multiple businesses together under a group-wide hiring format.

Lotte has also stepped up recruiting activity in Indonesia. Nine affiliates participated in a job fair there in September, and the group plans to create opportunities to identify candidates through direct university visits similar to the Hanoi campaign.

The latest drive highlights the importance Lotte is placing on building local teams as it expands overseas. Rather than relying only on conventional job postings, the group is using university outreach, employee consultations and practice interviews to introduce its operations to prospective hires and establish a pipeline of locally trained talent.
