SK hynix Becomes Most Sought-After Employer Among Korean Job Seekers

SK hynix ranked first among companies followed by users of recruitment platform Incruit, ahead of Hyundai Motor, Incheon International Airport, Kakao and Samsung Electronics.

SK hynix has emerged as the most sought-after employer among South Korean job seekers, reflecting the chipmaker’s growing corporate profile as demand for artificial intelligence hardware reshapes the semiconductor industry.

The company ranked first in a survey based on the businesses that users of Seoul-based recruitment platform Incruit had registered as favorites over the past year. The platform’s favorite-company feature lets users follow selected employers and receive their job postings by email, providing an indicator of where applicants are most interested in finding opportunities.

Hyundai Motor placed second in the ranking. Incheon International Airport Corp. was third, followed by internet platform operator Kakao and Samsung Electronics. The five leading names span semiconductors, automobiles, public infrastructure and digital services, showing that job seekers continue to focus on large and highly visible employers across several major parts of the Korean economy.

SK hynix’s position comes as the company has gained prominence from the expansion of the AI chip market. Strong demand for advanced memory used in artificial intelligence systems has helped lift the chipmaker to become South Korea’s second-largest listed company by market capitalization. Its rise in the employer ranking indicates that its stronger standing in capital markets and the technology sector is also being noticed by prospective employees.

The survey also showed that public institutions remain attractive to Korean applicants. Incheon International Airport and Korea Electric Power Corp. were the two public-sector organizations among the 10 most-followed employers. Their presence alongside major private companies suggests that interest in established public employers remains significant even as technology and manufacturing groups draw attention through rapid growth and investment.

Financial companies were less prominent in the top tier. Woori Bank was the only financial institution to appear among the 10 most popular organizations in the survey. That contrasts with the multiple representatives from technology, manufacturing and the public sector.

The ranking measures user interest rather than completed applications, hiring volume or employee satisfaction. It therefore does not establish which company ultimately receives the most job applications or offers the best working conditions. It does, however, provide a current snapshot of which employers Incruit users most want to monitor. For SK hynix, taking the top position adds an employment-brand milestone to the company’s recent ascent in South Korea’s technology industry.
