The National Daegu Science Museum is set to transport visitors to the cosmos with its “2026 Daegu Dome Festival (DDF) Film Festival” this April, coinciding with Korea’s ‘Science Month’. The festival will feature a special screening of six cutting-edge space science dome films, many of which are making their Korean debut, within the museum’s state-of-the-art planetarium.
Visitors can look forward to an immersive experience exploring diverse scientific themes, from Mars exploration and the origins of life to thrilling cosmic adventures. The lineup includes four brand-new, unreleased films – encompassing both animated features and documentaries designed to expand children’s knowledge of space science – alongside two award-winning productions from the 2025 Daegu Dome Festival.
The film screenings will take place every weekend from Saturday, April 11, to Sunday, April 26, 2026. Beyond the cinematic journey, attendees can also participate in various interactive experiences, including hands-on activities and special gift events offered on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a memorable visit for all ages.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased on-site or through online pre-reservation. Online booking for half of the seats per session began on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
