1Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the return of its popular “Cheonwon Culture Ticket” program for May 2026, offering residents and culturally underserved communities a special opportunity to enjoy a variety of cultural and tourism experiences for just 1,000 won (approximately US$0.75) per program. The initiative aims to enhance the cultural lives of citizens by making high-quality performances and attractions more accessible.
The program features four distinct art performances at major venues across Incheon. These include the French Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes National Orchestra with Shim Jun-ho and the play <Shear Madness> at the Incheon Culture & Arts Center, Classic Insight 1 <Love & Grace> at Art Center Incheon, and the family play <Overcoat> at Tribowl. Tickets for these performances are available for Incheon citizens on a first-come, first-served basis through online booking. The booking start dates are:
In addition to the art performances, the program will also include the Wolmi Sea Train experience for culturally underserved groups. Specific details regarding eligibility and booking for the Wolmi Sea Train will be announced separately at a later date. The city anticipates approximately 4,000 participants for the entire program throughout May.
Strict eligibility rules apply for the 1,000-won tickets. Each individual is generally limited to one application per program, and duplicate participation may result in additional charges or restrictions on future applications. Crucially, ticket holders for art performances must be verified as Incheon citizens (residents of Incheon Metropolitan City) at the venue on the day of the event. Non-Incheon citizens will be required to pay the full price difference. The city encourages residents to utilize the “Incheon e-Wallet” app’s “Incheon Citizen Card” feature for smooth on-site verification.
For further details on specific programs, booking links (which will be generated on the respective booking start dates), and refund policies, participants are advised to visit the official websites of each cultural facility.
