Incheon City Opens Support Channel for Export Firms Amid Middle East Situation

Incheon Metropolitan City, a major port city in South Korea, in partnership with the Incheon Technopark, has launched an urgent consultation channel to support local export companies facing challenges due to the current situation in the Middle East. The initiative aims to minimize business losses and swiftly identify difficulties stemming from rising oil prices and logistics disruptions.

This support channel is specifically designed for export-oriented businesses located within Incheon that are experiencing adverse impacts related to the Middle East situation. The collected information will serve as crucial data for formulating effective support measures and advocating on behalf of affected companies to relevant institutions. The Incheon Technopark, a regional innovation support agency, will also connect businesses with various types of aid, including funding, consulting, marketing, and growth support.

To apply, eligible companies must complete a designated application form, which can typically be downloaded from the Incheon Technopark website or obtained via email. The form requires details such as company profile (name, address, industry), current damage status, and specific examples of business activity constraints. Once completed, the form should be submitted via email to the Incheon Technopark Export Support Center or Incheon Business Management Support Center.

The application period for this consultation service runs from March 20, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The city and Technopark aim to process inquiries from up to 1,000 companies through this channel, gathering comprehensive data on their challenges. Furthermore, companies may also be directed to other related support programs, such as the Incheon City Emergency Management Stabilization Fund, for which a separate application process exists.
