Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the continued operation and promotion of its “Ansimin” (안심in) mobile application, a dedicated safety service designed to protect residents, particularly socially vulnerable individuals. The app leverages real-time location information to facilitate rapid, coordinated responses from guardians, district CCTV integrated control centers, and the police during emergency situations. This initiative underscores Incheon’s commitment to building a safer community for all its citizens.
Developed to ensure quick assistance when emergencies arise, Ansimin offers a suite of features aimed at enhancing personal safety. Key functionalities include the Safe Return Service, which allows users to share their real-time location with pre-selected guardians for secure commutes. The Emergency Help Request feature enables users to instantly send their location, phone number, and photo information to the CCTV control center when in danger, prompting immediate intervention from public safety authorities.
For situations requiring discretion, the app provides a Fake Call Service, allowing users to receive a pre-set simulated phone call to help them exit uncomfortable or potentially risky situations, acting as a personal safety tool. Additionally, the Friend and Family Location Viewing service offers real-time tracking, enabling users to monitor the whereabouts of their loved ones for added peace of mind.
The Ansimin app is available for all Incheon citizens, free of charge. To utilize this essential service, residents can simply download the “안심in” app from either the Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices. By installing the app, citizens can access its various features and take an active step in enhancing their personal safety measures provided by the city.
