The Ministry of Health and Welfare of South Korea has announced a public solicitation for an organization to operate and manage the “Crisis Children and Youth Policy Center.” This initiative aims to establish a dedicated institution responsible for developing and implementing policies to support children and youth facing various crises, including those related to family care, in line with the nation’s “Act on Support for Children and Youth in Crisis, Including Family Care.”
The selected organization will be entrusted with the center’s operations for a three-year term, commencing on July 1, 2026, and concluding on June 30, 2029. An initial budget of 339 million Korean Won (approximately USD 246,000, subject to exchange rates) has been allocated for the first six months of 2026, with subsequent budgets subject to change. The primary responsibilities will involve tasks outlined in Article 25, Paragraph 2 of the aforementioned Act, focusing on research, policy development, and direct support services for vulnerable young people across the country.
Eligible organizations interested in managing this crucial national center are invited to submit their applications during the specified period. The application window is open from April 14, 2026 (Tuesday), until April 27, 2026 (Monday), by 6:00 PM KST. Potential bidders are advised to act promptly due to this tight deadline.
